Long COVID, also referred to as post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC), is a collection of symptoms that persist for weeks or months following the acute phase of COVID-19. Individuals who have recovered from the initial infection but continue to experience a variety of health issues, including fatigue, shortness of breath, migraines, and cognitive difficulties, are affected by this condition. The precise cause of Long COVID is not yet fully comprehended; however, it is suspected to be associated with the virus's persistent inflammation, immune dysfunction, and tissue injury. Medical professionals are increasingly acknowledging the debilitating impact of Long COVID on patients' quality of life and are conducting active research on remedies and management strategies to alleviate symptoms and enhance outcomes for those affected by this intricate condition.
